  • 320i E100

    Hi There,

I just bought a 2023 320i in Brazil (b48). It's capable of E100 fuel. In Brazil the Minimum Gas Mixture is E27 (RON 93) and cars sold here are able of any mixture from E27 to E100 (RON 110).

I also purchased a JB4 brand new with EWG connector.

As far as the car is under warranty, I'll make no physical changes on it (just the Jb4).

    I have two questions:

1- What is the best JB4 Map to use considering Power/Reliability and Low Warranty Risk in the Stock Car?
2- What fuel should I use for this map?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    1. Always best to start on map 1 so we can review the log and go from there.
    2. It depends on how aggressive you want to get. You can start with E27 if you want.

Thanks Steve. Attached is the E27 map1
as suggested. I felt a bit difference in gain. Far from what I got in my last F30 N20 stock with JB4.

That's not much of a log...I'll need more than that.

Logs should be done in 3rd gear starting at 2K rpms and be at wide open throttle to redline on a safe private road/track.

Thanks Steve. Actually I was concerned to push hard a brand new car with the JB4.

Attached the new log (well pushed now). Please let know your finds.

Regards the aggressiveness, I'm looking for the best performance possible with the minimal risk, considering the car warranty, using E27, E100 or the best mix of both.

            Thanks in advance!

That's better and the log looks pretty clean.

Good news. When you say "pretty clean", means that I can move forward to Map2? Or 3 maybe?

Not great logs (partial throttle, short, down shifts, high rpm only, etc) but I don't see any issues. Don't add more ethanol, your trims are already high.

You're running all your logs starting around 5K rpms. St your FF to 50 and do logs starting in 3rd gear at 2k rpms.

No...it's not. Did you even read what I wrote because you didn't do any of it in that log. Do a proper log with the changes like I suggested above.
