  • Car is slower with JB4 and BEF than Stock tune...

So I switched to map 0 and it seemed like my car ran better than on map 1,2,3, or 4 (just did once to see).

    2019 M240i Xdrive 30,000 km
TU Pump, ******* DP, JB4, BEF Pump_3. 91 Octane fuel in Canada.

First run on Map 0 my draggy times were 4.36 0-100 km/h and 12.32 quarter mile.
2nd run on Map 2 draggy times were 4.55 0-100 and 12.58 quarter mile.
3rd run Map 2 draggy times were 5.11 and 12.82

I also data logged these pulls.'

What the heck is going on here? Please help

91 octane can be pretty bad. Our BEF ramps up the factory boost target so in your case it appears more boost isn't further helping performance.

    See how map1 does.

I am burning the tank up right now and going to fill with 94 octane and going to try using boostane professional.

I will do some more testing once I get better fuel.

any insight on this boostane? I don’t have any E85 in Canada unfortunately

BEF stands for Back end flash.

I put some petro canada 94 in and it made no difference.

Map1 log on the 94? The 94 octane up there is often worse than your 91.

Looks to be octane related as timing gets notably worse on map 2, I'd try adding some octane booster if you want to run map 2 and you're looking for more performance.

I have some boostane professional coming and I’m getting some E85 next week. Hopefully that should fix my issues.

should I be running the pump_91 bef over the pump_3 one? I assume the 91 one is less aggressive?

Yes, run the pump 91 until you are running E85 or ethanol mixes.

Ok so I found my car runs a lot better on Shell 93 Octane which I found locally. You guys were right low quality fuel was definitely my issue.

I have some new logs now with 93 octane and E85 for about a E30 Mix, here are some logs on Map 5 and 4. they look pretty good to me, but Im curious why I don't seem to be hitting the 22 PSI boost target on Map 5. How long does it take for the car to adapt to the better fuel? does it just take some time before it will hit target boost?

                      I was able to do a 3.51 0-60mph and a 11.67 1/4 mile with the current tune.

                      Thanks for the help.
