How to unlink your JB4 Mobile account

When connecting to a JB4 for the first time the mobile adapter locks to your JB4 mobile account (username and password setup in JB4 mobile) to prevent strangers from randomly connecting to your car and making changes. But often people forget to "unlock" the adapter before removing the JB4 if they are transferring or reselling it requiring the new user to follow the "unlock" routine in the app. Now there is another option. This weblink lets you unlock your adapter even if the JB4 is no longer in your possession. We'll be making further changes to this important JB4 security system in the coming months to better facilitate car to car transfers but this will speed things up for now.

If you're unable to sign in to unlock then you must email [email protected] with the screen shot provided in the app for a manual unlock which can take up to 24hours. Emails sent to BMS support directly for this purpose will be ignored.

Terry, I currently have my e90 linked to my app with the BT connection. I recently bought a e92 off a buddy, which also has a jb4 with BT. I still need to have him unlink his account. My question is, once that is done, will I have any issues connecting to both jb4's with the same device? Obviously not at the same time, but can one device/acct. have authority over multiple jb4's? Thanks

I’ve currently unlinked the previous owner but how do I connect it to my own username.

Good evening!

Last month I uninstalled my Jb4 and forgot to unlink my account. I plugged the Jb4 back in today and tried connecting I received kit not owned error. Currently waiting for auto approve or reply from burger. I went to the website and logged in, says no device is linked to my account. Why wouldn’t it let me connect back into my same car with username and password?
