  • I agree with buddy,
There is no flow and the JB knew that. Target psi was equivalent to that of Map 1.
You've got some fairly high timing deviations also, Probably those denso's. I'd get HKS two steps in there, trouble shoot all physical electical connections to include a good ground, bump DOWN your boost safety to 24 (28 is a head gasket waiting to blow), and update your firmware to 24.

It was a few weeks ago when I did the install. Time to troubleshoot.

Thank you Darrin! Found the culprit: blown fuse to the FSB.

I surmise the open fuse slot I'm tapping is more than 10A. The issue I'm running in to is the other 10 amp spots I tried before would cause instrument panel to light up with differing errors. If there's a clean 10A source that's best to tap, I'd be most grateful.

Also, I don't have the diode for ground as shown in the installation instructions for the WMI.

Lastly, gonna order the HKS plugs. Figured I would give the Denso sparks a whirl...guess they aren't up to the task!

        • Good find. The diode isn't needed but it might have kept that fuse from blowing. Definitely hit up BMS and get one. As far as spots for power, there are two available, one right on top of the other. The instructions show where that location is in the photos. Using a Multi meter, you will find one has power without the ign on and one only has power with the ign on. I recommend the latter. Also, DON'T stick the whole spade in there. One side provides power to the other side. If you stick a fork terminal in there as if it was a fuse you're asking for issues, ie possibly your blown inline fuse. Find the side that is hot, cut half the spade off and insert it on the hot side of the fuse that only has voltage when the ign is running.

Thanks for the reply. I tapped the same spot as the instructions, but was using both sides of the slot...no longer the case.

I've done a few pulls, so far, no blown fuse. HKS plugs will be getting installed soon.

            This is the lastest log.

            • Log looks good, I think the HKS plugs will help with the minor deviations your having (Knock)
Get your plugs in, set meth additive to 60, and drop you min PSI to 5

              • Just setting up my wmi now. I plan on running 91 w/wmi. Do I still run map 7? Also is there a base line setting I should be using for the 91? I basically have all bolt ons including hks plugs. Thanks

                • Set up Map 7 exactly like the install instruction indicate and you'll be good. Then Post a log..

                  • Ok got a pull down today. 3rd and some of 4th. I'm using snow boost juice. Looks like my timing ain't good. I'm using a bm10 nozzle. It's pretty warm out here today about 85 outside. Also this is with 91.

                        • Methane injection is strange.

Dispensing amount is less than 100%.

                                • Hey Terry I’m going to be using VPs speed sauce which is 80% ethanol 20% water mix. What would you recommend my jb4 settings be for my wmi setup? Also on 93 octane, BMS intakes.

                                  • Same WMI settings, just adjust WMI additive as needed to get the desired boost target. Probably around a 60 additive.

                                      • Recently noticed the pump running continuously in the WM tank, at all times the car is on. I immediately disconnected the pump to try and avoid burning it up, but since then I have tested the following:
                                        • positive wire is hot at all times the car is on or ignition is powered, no matter the map that is chosen, even with JB4 disabled.
                                        • pump still works, full pressure to solenoid
                                        • nothing is getting past the solenoid
                                        • all lines have been bled

Up-to-date on most recent stable firmware. Unless there is a random short somewhere along the wiring, jb4 acting up? Have had it installed the same way, same wiring, for several years.

                                        • I would recommend checking all wiring first, before we jump to conclusions.

                                          • Certainly not intending to jump to any conclusions, just asking where to start. pulled full length of wire to make sure no short, etc., but little place for error, as it's just a single wire from jb4 to pump, no issues with any other jb4 function.
