  • 22 Kia Forte Gt question

I took my jb4 off my 2021 Forte. I connected it to my 2022 gt. I logged in and it connected to my car. The car is on map 2 with 93 octane shell v power. I don't really notice any gain fuel wire is connected. My question is do i need to do anything since it was connected to my old car like does it need to be reset so it recognizes the new car and it doesn't think I'm in my old car? Right now just kinda feels like a glorified data logger. Oh 1 more question what firmware should i be using on the 22 gt with 1.6

We generally advise to put the JB4 back to default settings if any changes were made.

So my 21 Forte gt was driven routinely on map 2. I would occasionally drive about half hr away to get e85 and do e30/40 map 3/4. I eventually tuned the car and was full bolt on went n75 tune and used the jb4 to and fuel wire to lean out my mixture and for logging only in map 6. My 22 gt is not going to be an aggressive build (says that now) currently intake colder plus intercooler hot pipe upgrade bigger throttle body coolant bypass and throttle controller. Running map 2 with fuel wire connected. I thought I seen something that you have to send and email in when taking the jb4 off 1 car and putting it on another essentially they are the same car. The only thing I did was remove it off my 21 install it on my 22 hit connect and it connected right just changed the setting for the non factory map loaded to off since my 22 is not tuned like my 21 was. I'm gonna try and do wot pull tomorrow and post the log. Currently firmware jb4_p21_kia_27.hex didn't know which one to select for my current application.
