Have 2 “issues†that I’m expecting wont get resolved over the weekend but hopefully I get lucky! I rarely have time off work Saturday’s let alone the wife out of town!! LOL also since
I bought second hand BMS could as easily tell me not our problem somewhat understandably.
1. I received a JB4 preowned and am pin locked out is my first issue. Emailed [email protected]. Hopefully this is easily remedied as seller didn’t change code that she’s aware and gave me her only “personal†4 digit code she could think of. Is there any way other than guessing or will I need to wait until Monday when BMS returns?
2. She didn’t send OBDii cable so even if I get it unlocked I’ll have nothing greater than map 1 or any data logging as I understand it. I think I do happen to have the proper Molex connector and multiple OBDii cables from lord knows how many scanners, handheld tuners and loggers I have owned over the last 20 years! I know can pins 6hi/14lo respectively at the obdii end and assume the green is can hi and brown is can lo on the JB4 end? Just want to be sure there is no resistor or diode tricks in the cable before I attempt.
Well if all else fails I’ll have to be patient until next week when support gets back and I can overnight a cable but I figured I’d give it a try. WMI is probably my next adventure, I’ll be calling BMS directly to order that to be sure I get the right setup.
