  • Cel after installation jb4 328i n20

Hi! I have f30 328i 2012 (n20) with pwg. I bought used jb4, and after installation I get a message: engine error. the engine is not stable, vibration. I connect jb4 interface (I am attaching a photo). after shutdown jb4- everything is fine, there are no errors, the engine runs stably

Perhaps the problem is in the basic settings?

sorry for my English, and sorry for the post in the n54 thread, but this thread is more lively than n20

Wrong forum, I will move it to the correct forum. Do not post in the wrong forum...they all get looked at.

I'd recommend putting all the user adjustment settings back to the default settings to start and uploading pictures of your installation.

              Steve, hi!
              I'm ashamed of my stupidity...
returned the default settings, but could not change BOOST SAFETY and TMAP (after saving, they return to the parameters indicated in the attached photo)

also, I don't know what data should be in the WMI tab

in the attachment photo of the installation (MAF and FLEX FUEL are not connected, since I have 328i) and jb4 interface ( errors with misfire)

please tell me what i'm doing wrong...

Can you upload a log? No need to do a pull, I just need to see the firmware and settings are correct.

                  Steve, hi!

I checked the wiring, there are no problems in the wires from jb4 to the sensors!

I tried to write logs, the following problem appeared:
I press the START button, I see the status STARTING LOGGING, I raise the engine speed to 4000 in third gear, then I stop and press STOP AND DISPLAY, but nothing further happens, the status does not change.

I saved such a log and attach it to the message.

Your boost safety is set too low. Update your firmware to V7 and try setting your boost safety to 24 and your TMAP to 1 after you do so.

                        Good morning, guys!
maybe I have a problem with the pinout of the wires, can you send me a diagram of the connector and how to connect to it:
                        tmap
                        map
                        boost solenoid
                        obd (green & brown)
                        red & black
and how these wires are located in the connectors ...
or you can check my wires from the photo (attached)

for information: control via bc works, maps change

if I turn off red & black - nothing changes, the same errors, but the cards change through bc

If you suspect an issue with the harness, you'll need to contact [email protected] as I don't have a pinout for you.

                              Steve, hi!
I figured out the problem a little. now I understand that cel is because of the solenoid. If I don't connect the blue wires, there is no error. the wiring is 100% intact, I suspect that the problem is in the software or the board. maybe I need to cut the resistor?
