  • DR700 Single Turbo First Log

    Hello everyone,

Just installed the DR700 Bottom mount single turbo kit and this is my first log. Please note this is running stock HPFP and LPFP on Cali piss 91. I flashed the ST BEF via MHD and am running the latest ST firmware. I swapped out the 14psi wastegate spring for a 10psi spring combo. Please let me know how I can increase my spool on this PT6266 journal bearing with an 1.05 A/R housing. I also installed the VRSF race intercooler.

Boost is a bit low for a 10psi spring. How does map 2 look?

Raise FF to 40 and get another log on map 2.

Is this on a 3 port or 4 port mac solenoid?

Also, might want to mix a bit of e85 to make an e25-30 blend if you want to run map 2. It will need the higher octane.

Hey Payam, thanks for the reply. I will make the adjustment and post another log then will add some e85 and log that too. This log was on 91 and on the 3 port mac solenoid with BMS connector.

Attached is a combined log, first run is with FF set to 40 and second run is with e30 mix.

Bump FF up to 70 if it hasn't already learned up to 70 and lets see how that does.

Your LPFP is crashing and taking your HPFP with it. You need to address that before proceeding.

Ok sounds good will do. I will be getting the Fuel-It Stage 2 bucketless. Do you know if there is a significant voltage difference between the wally 450 and 525? I know the difference is only 10% in flow. Thanks!

It's also about 10% more amperage...voltage is the same.

Update: I found out why I wasnt hitting boost target initially. My under hood heat shield material was blocking the air filter and causing a restriction to the turbo intake. I removed it and and finally installed the Fuel-It Stage 2 bucketless and now im hitting 17psi (JB4 hijack) with map 2 on e30. I just did a couple of test pulls but wasnt able to log. Ill get a log today or tomorrow for your review. Thanks for your support!

Looks pretty normal but pulling timing on cylinder 1...I'd watch that.

Ok sounds good. I am on OEM spark plugs with eldor coils and index 12 injectors. Which spark plugs do you recommend for my setup? Also am I good to run map 3? My goal is to be at 20psi on E50. Thanks!

We run the NGK. As I said...cylinder one doesn't look good, I'd verify/sort that as I doubt more boost is going to help.

                                      These plugs are compatible with all turbo BMW motors including the N20, N54, N55, S55, N63, n63tu, B38, B48, B58, S63, and s63tu.

I did add some e85 to make it E40 and did a short pull and seemed to clean it up a bit. I will definitely be upgrading to the plugs you mentioned. Thanks!
