  • Just installed EWG wires and am now throwing a drivetrain malfunction!

I did some research and it seems that this is a common theme… however, I cannot find a solution to my problem as others have found. Someone please help!

    Hi,

Please post a log so we can see your settings and list your car, mods, etc for us to assist you. Also post pictures of your installation so we can verify those. It's probably a setting or install issue.

    Thank you

This is my experience only however, I get this error every time I install the jb4. It takes driving a block, coming to a full stop, then rolling again. I also notice the steering wheel feels heavier until this process is done and the error goes away.

I’d take it easy, give a short responsible cruise, it’ll be fine.

What map should the log be running, or does it not matter?

Vehicle is 2014 335i with aluminum chargepipe, cts turbo intake, cts turbo inlet, arm motorsports 4" ******* ********, arm motorsports intercooler, 3" straight pipe exhaust (no resonators)

The drive train malfunction only happens right when I first turn the vehicle on. Not during driving.

            Install looks correct.

Please attach a log on map 1 so I can see the firmware and settings.

Okay and if you remove the wastegate connection and put the stock connector back on, the errors clear and don't return?

Looking at your log your WGDC is maxed out and your FF is high. I suspect you may have a boost leak. Can you put the stock EWG connector back on and do another log on map 1?
