All of these were after i checked the torque on my full exhaust system, and did a complete check of my engine bay including moving my jb4 to a different spot and wrapping it just in case it was causing false knock.Attached Files

93 octane. Eurocompulsion V2 intake, supersprint sport exhaust, and a turbosmart diverter valve. So IGN 2-5 are good even though they're showing positive or will they go negative if they were knock? I'm still trying to piece together how to properly interpret your systems measurements. Thank you.

There are always going to be some timing corrections by nature of the dynamic timing system which continually rides the knock threshold for increased fuel efficiency. Even at WOT. What we'd be looking for is excessive corrections indicating a plausible timing curve for the octane and boost profile is not possible. Then you know you need to lower boost and/or increase octane.Burger Motorsports

Good morning Terry,
I'm reaching out as I've been developing a hybrid turbo with NM Turbo and its finally finalized. This means there are now two solid options for people to buy hybrid turbo's for our platform. (NM Turbo, and GotTuned)
I was wondering if it was possible to work with you to develop a user selectable Map to make it easier for others to run a JB4 with a hybrid unit. (bhvrdr) has been running a JB4 with his hybrid on a custom map with great success.
On a second note, I have also been wondering if it would be possible that the JB4 in the future will add a third signal intercept to allow us to adjust fuel pressure, there's a system(who's name wont be mentioned here) that can do this already, and it would be nice it we could as well. (as far as I can tell this isn't really necessary and is more of a nice to have than a need)
Thank you for your time.Last edited by Tekgnome; 02-22-2022, 08:53 AM.

Sure send in a log and we can evaluate it. The plan for these is for o2 sensor control to attenuate trims and air/fuel ratios. Fuel pressure only gives you fuel trims which isn't a factor on the platform.Burger Motorsports

02 sensor control would be fantastic!
I'll need probably a couple of weeks to get time to install my Hybrid and ******* ********. I have MES and can also provide any logging necessary with the JB4 as well.
Not sure why it censored my ***? I guess emissions talk isnt allowed here, I cant seem to find the forum rules.

Yes can't discuss bypassing emissions equipment as it's illegal in the USA. But no problem on tuning.Burger Motorsports

Updated info?
Hey everyone / Terry,
new to this particular forum because I just got a Stelvio for my wife, but I've been at it with my Stinger for 2 years now, so I know how the JB4 works...
I read each and every post in this forum so far, and I'm left wondering where does the JB4 stand for the Alfa Romeo 2.0L ? I know the 1st post is always kept up to date, but I also noticed the graph seems to say only about 25 hp gain, though the page says 40 whp (55 crank), so I'm confused. I can't seem to find fuel requirements for the maps.
I'm going to buy [today] the jb4 and the performance intake. Going to run it on 91 octane, but I could also get 94 (w/ 10% ethanol). Which map should I go with? Does anyone recommend any other performance mod?
Kind of exciting if I can bump this to a theoretical ~340HP, pretty impressive power in the end!
TY!Last edited by ddaversa; 06-09-2022, 10:50 AM.

Also, I've upped a few of the values from bhvrdr's Map 6 settings, and it looks like I may be getting a tad bit of knock, but honestly, I don't know what the ign2-5 values mean.
No rush, but here's the log for review...

I too am also wondering if post Home is updated ... quite frankly I'm a bit disappointed at how silent things are for the Alfa Romeo platform, I got my JB4 in June but I still have not installed it, because can't find a "clean" way to do so in my Stelvio. I refuse to have a wire pass by the door frame, and I have not found a way to pass it discreetly yet. Definitely not the same level of commitment that I saw from the KIA Stinger community ... then again, not the same market at all.

There's a hole on the driver side near the brake reservoir. IIRC there's a little rubber plug you have to pull, then punch out the perforated foam hole on the interior side in the foot well. Once you've routed the wire that goes to the OBD2 port, put the plug back in to seal the hole with the wire through it.

I am in China. My car is Giulia 2017 200hp. It uses 95RON gasoline and BMC air filter element. Other equipment is original. I updated the JB4 program today, the version number is JB4_ P29_ ALFA_7_T9.hex beta program, using map2. The attachment is a log data. I don't know whether it works properly. Please check it with the help of experts. Can I continue to use this beta version and map2? Any other suggestions? I feel that JB4_ P29_ ALFA_ 7_T9.hex's map2 program is more powerful than JB4_ AlFA_ 5. Hex. Thanks so much.Attached Files

This is 40-90 on map3 in dynamic driving mode with 93 octane. Since this log I have removed my TurboSmart BOV because it kept giving engine code p0033 which would force my car into limp mode. I'm not sure if the BOV has anything to do with the AFR or the timing or maybe was causing a boost leak. If you'd like I can go write a new log with the factory blow off installed. Just let me know what kind of logs youd like and ill get them sent over to you within a few days. Thank you for reaching out and offering your help!Attached Files

Hi Terry @ BMS I Just installed the new JB4 on my a2.0 giulia Veloce 2.0 .
Terry Im a little puzzled as I reviewed every body’s logs on here and everyone seems to boost around 20psi on stock for average before adding map1 etc. But I just did some logs on map 0 before I go and doing map 1 or map 2 and I noticed I average around 23.5-24 psi on the stock map 0 so am I even able to run map1 or map 2 the 2023 is advertised as the same hp as the previous years so why am I boosting so much more stock and am I gonna be safe even running just map 1?
thanks
Ambient temps in Georgia rite now are 67*. And my elevation is around 1100ft in the city here.
Any ideas ?4 PhotosLast edited by 21M235GC; 02-27-2023, 09:54 AM.
