Brandon at Krazyhouse Customs dyno testing our new Jeep 2L JB4 out on his dyno. Solid results on 93 octane vs. stock and got even better on an E30 mix! Will post the E85 mix runs after we make a few more tweaks to it!

One of the things that I missed when I got rid of my 135i (N54) was the JB4 and it's simplicity... Now that I have a 2019 JL Rubicon... BMS will soon be back in my life! Thanks Terry!

        Logs from Jeep

        Hi Terry,

Here are a couple logs. 91 octane (best available locally).

        Jeep feels strong.

Also found this which makes a good place to mount the JB4 close enough for the OBD2 wiring to reach.

Looks normal to me for the platform. Have access to E85? You could mix in a few gallons to get octane up for comparison.

            Hi Terry,

Will a test pipe trip the CEL? And if so I guess a piggyback can't really deal with that can it?

This just came out and looks like the first step to get some more power....

MAP8 on my Rubicon 2.0T my 2018 (European Version)

I have tried the MAP8. This map puts the engine in safety mode.
                The maximum speed is 50Km / h.
But it does turn on the engine light and then it doesn't go out anymore.
With the engine light on, maps 1-2-3 no longer work.
                Why?

Yes, that's called Valet map. Makes the car super slow so when you give it to valet driver they wont go on a little drive with your car.

Put back in map 1 and turn car off and on and it should be back to normal.

The VALET map is still a work in progress. Record a log on map8 (when the light isn't on) and we'll see if we can tweak it next version to run slow without triggering an extra light.

Many thanks, but I don't think to use the Valet Map.

In any case, as soon as I select map 8 the light turns on.
Then it is difficult to turn off the light.

                        Air intake system

I have tried all three maps, and with the standard air filter they work really well.
If I install AFE Filters 50-70035G Momentum GT PRO GUARD 7 Air Intake System, it seems to me that the engine pushes less. Could it be true?
                        Thanks

Have a log before and after the intake? Let's see how they look. I really doubt the intake hurts. Although it may not help either.

Use a dragy to do 1/4 mile runs on stock intake and aftermarket to log and compare differences? If no gain return the intake.

                                I found a test of a week ago, maybe a 0-100 km / h
2020-01-26 10_50_54_Map-3.csv (with standard air filter)
today I did 2 more tests
2020-02-04 13_18_08_Map-3.csv (with AFE air filter)

Can you see if it's better or worse with the AFE filter? :arco::arco:

It looks the same to me.

There is one logging parameter missing currently we need to sort out to better evaluate intakes, charge air temp!

Hey Terry the factory intake pipe has some resonators that seem to help torque down low before boost comes on.

Most of the aftermarket intakes get rid of them for a nice smooth inlet pipe. But as a result the Jeep doesn't pull hard until into boost.

I had a S&B and that was the challenge. Felt soft down low but I did see more boost at peak over stock - so it was helping, just not where the big heavy Jeep needs it the most

Any ETA on getting ICT working?

Also any experience with the AC intercooler fluid chillers?

Sorry for the lack of feedback. The Jeep picked up a nice bump in power. Clearly more grunt across the range. I floored it behind a jaguar suv that merged full throttle and he didn’t pull away. My fiancé said the rush reminded her of our ess tuned x5 50i! I know the x5 was much faster but she got to sinking stomach feeling from the passenger seat so that’s a great sign! 😂

The JB4 is the only modification that is on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2.0L.

Especially when the Jeep doesn’t downshift (high load and boost, lower rpm). I have a ******* ********, 3” catback and intake. Running 91 octane with a bit of e85 (roughly 20-25% ethanol). Not sure if these logs show the issue. If not, let me know what to log. It seems the actual boost overshoots target boost on initial throttle tip in and turbo spool. And then you feel like timing is being pulled.

Second question. Map1 is for 91 octane and map 2 for 93 and map 4 is for e85 mix?
