Hey Terry,
I have an CAN Flap Module whichs works fine in a M3 competition. Now I have a 2019 F33 440i with gasoline particulate filter (german version, no digital dash) and found out, that the flaps are no longer working with my car. The indicator in the dash works like expected, left - activated, right - deactivated, but not the flap itself.
Has there been probably any other firmware update since July 2016 (this was the last version I found mentioned in the forum) which can solve the issue?
Thanks
Micha

Hi Terry,
To revive an old thread, I also have installed this on a car with an OPF/GFP (2020 M4).
I had the same issue as BomberF33 - no matter what setting (open/closed/OEM) the flaps remained closed. Even stranger, once removing the module, the flaps remained closed regardless of engine mode until I had shutoff the car and come back later in the day.
Playing around yesterday evening I found that it might be related to the ASD settings: I had enabled option 1 (ASD mute when flaps open), but after disabling this, the flaps seem to work as intended given the basic settings (open/close/OEM).
Will dig a little bit more.

Did you have any luck solving this issue? I also have a 440i and mine is having the same issue as you had, the indicators work as expected but the flap doesn’t actually change. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Terry,
As you can tell, I'm bored AF not working anymore
I purchased for my 2018 F87 the CAN flap Module from Etek in April 2018 - At the time the firmware did not work correctly with the new dash, but the flap control works.
Any updates to the firmware for this device? I can't seem to find any info on it.... If so, can you send me a link to download?
TIA

Hello Terry. I have a 2022 F90 M5 and was advised the can flap module will work on my car, but I'm not sure if it does. I can't enter adjustment mode through the BC stalk. Is it incompatible?
EDIT: I purchased the module direct from BMS in October, and as advised I ordered the F-chassis variant. Should I have gone with the G-chassis variant instead given the non-M 5-series is a G chassis?
ThanksLast edited by ashmostro; 11-11-2021, 08:35 PM.2022 F90 M5 Comp
