    Hello at All !

I have purchased JB4 Mobile App.

I did some first tests but unfortunately I have problems.

During the tests I used 100 octane gasoline.

    My car setup is:
    Vw golf mk8 2021 245hp - DSG gearbox.
The only aftermarket parts installed are:
1 Vwracing R600 suction with fabric filter
    2 Milltek catback exhaust

With Jb4 set to zero position obviously there are no problems.

With Map 1, on the other hand, the problems already begin .. problems such as if there are missfires or serrations or cuts.

First test done in Sport engine mode and D - Esc gearbox mode set ACTIVE:
By progressively pressing the accelerator there are several cuts or serrations from 2000rpm to 3200rpm, accelerating to full load ... unfortunately at 3400rpm the car goes into recovery with traction control error warning lights on .. error distance control .. etc etc .. it is necessary to turn off the engine and turn it back on.

Second test done in Sport engine mode and D - Esc gearbox mode set OFF:
The problem remains unchanged as the first test.

Third test done in Sport engine mode and SPORT gearbox mode - Esc set OFF:
By progressively pressing the accelerator there are 2..3 small cuts or serrations from 2400rpm to 3000rpm, accelerating at full load, I only felt 1 cut. In this mode there is no recovery.

I made a small log of the third test that I am attaching.

    Can someone help me ?
It seems that the problem is related to the torque that the ESP system or the gearbox 'reads' with the different turbo pressure setting .. or .. I hope not .. I hope it is not a too thin AFR ratio problem.

I don't know what happens with Map2... uhhh

    Thank you all.

From the last correspondence I had with him it was over fueling so we lowered the fuel open loop value.

I was wondering why many people say you tuned their car like this person, say they had to fix a fueling issue. Aren't all mk8 GTIs the same if they are in the same region and have the same fuel?

What I mean is- why do you have to make user specific changes?
As more cars get these fitted and are run in different locations on different fuels we optimize the fueling so it works in all conditions and octane so initially we make adjustments.

So for all of North America, you only need different sets of settings for the octane 87, 91, 93, e85, e20.. is that what you are talking about?
            Yes.

The map selection changes based on octane. We just getting the sweat spot right for the Fuel open loop value which is a fuel volume setting. Rarely does it need to be changed from the shipped value though.

My goal is to match the specs of the US mk8 Golf R manual, which is 280 ft/lbs and 315hp on 87 octane. I understand if I'll have to go to 91 or 93 to match that but do you think it's possible?

I really can't afford a new clutch right now.
Yes, we can control the torque. The total hp you require might be a long shot on 87.

When limiting the torque and assume I use 93 octane, what HP increase do you think I can expect. My only other modifications are a neuspeed airbox and clubsport muffler
On 93 you can get get around 330hp on a otherwise stock car. On 87 you quite limited with boost increase.
