    Bypassing Boost Safety

I have a 2017 VW Jetta SE 1.4TSI (Engine code CZTA) 5 speed. Since updating the firmware on my Jb4, Boost over safety has ticked on. I had previously bypassed this (yes I know the risks) by setting the safety value to 0.00, but I can no longer do this. Do I need to upgrade to 3Bar sensors to go past the safety limit? Or is it now a +25psi over target limit as opposed to 25psi absolute. I’m very heavily modded (TE290 Hybrid Turbo, ECS Tuning RS3 Coil Pack,RTMG Watercooler Delete Plate, RTMG charge pipe, Injen Intake, Deleted watercooler, NGK Step 8 Plugs, ECS Tuning Big Bore Turbo Inlet, RTMG Dual piston BOV, Boost Products FMIC, CTS Turbo 3in ******* ********, 2.5” Custom Straightpipe, JB4 piggyback, boost controller, Unitronic Stage 2 Tune, BC Racing coilovers, ECS Tuning clutch pedal stop, Traction Control Switch Retrofit, Removed wheel well dams for brake cooling, Firehawk Indy 500 tires, Stock clutch lololol).

You need to set it to a high value. Its still absolute so if you make it 0 it will trigger it and map switch as soon as there is boost. Try enter 28.

It isn’t letting me go past 25 for the boost safety. I’m assuming I am going to have to reset the JB4 if I wanna be dumb and bypass again? I was making as high as 25.9psi before my big turbo even, so I’m happy with he JB4 regardless.

We will need to modify the firmware to remove the limit. Email me at [email protected]
