  • JB4, which group is device?

I bought a used jb4 for a 2016 Audi S3. Besides the seller stating it is for that model, is there any way to verify (on the physical device or in the software) that this is correct?...like a model number/serial number of some sort to cross reference?

Connect to it and see that it has 60//88/5 software loaded. All Group 1 to 6 are the same JB4 with some settings changes for certain models.

Is that just out of date software that needs to be updated or is that NOT for an 2016 audi s3?

That will work too. Its older firmware so use map 0 to 2.

I can update the firmware through the mobile app correct? Platform #60? Looks like 8.8 and 8.10 available? Thanks for the quick responses.
