Im get JB4 Mobile app on my Seat Cupra screen and find 2 ways to do this. Im pretty sure that this is possible on all VAG and other cars whcih support MirrorLink(you need enabled MirrorLink in Motion) or AndroidAuto.

First one is with MirrorLink and FloatingApps for Auto this one do not need rooted phone. Responsing is slow app do not show dialogs...

Another solution need root and work a lot of better. Fast response, better refresh rate...

Glad you were able to get this working!

I'm hoping Google and Apple ease up on their Android Auto/CarPlay restrictions soon so I can get this properly implemented. Android Auto/CarPlay officially only support displaying vehicle parameters if you are an OEM. :/

The app isn’t cheap. Getting it to work with CarPlay will add value to it and enhance JB4 branding as it’s like OEM

Looks like Apple is moving towards integrating with vehicle parameters. Might open the door for the JB4.
