Any JB4 Love for the A45S? - JB4tech.com

Hi there,

I had the privilege of using the JB4 with my previous EA888 Audi S3 hatch. It was very stable with just stock components and I worked with George to arrive at a great custom map for it.

Have now moved into a 2021 Mercedes-AMG A45S hatch which I am taking delivery of this week.

I see that there is a JB4 beta for the A35. Are there any plans for a JB4 for the more powerful 45/45S models with the M139 engine? I would be happy to help test and from the look of the CLA/GLA/A forums, there's plenty of people who would pay for it!

Flash tuners for this platform seem to have fallen by the wayside with the difficulties of dealing directly with the Mercedes Bosch MG1 ECU unit. And many would pay quite a lot for moderate gains via piggy back while being able to avoid the ECU/TCU flash route altogether.

Also, and importantly, the M139 engine on which the CL/GL/A 45/45S is based is going to be the petrol engine basis of many of the larger AMGs going forward, including the 2022 C63, so it might be worth having a look now with an eye to the future!

That specific model we haven't made a JB4 for yet. We plan to as soon as someone local turns up with one.

Thanks Terry. Might not benefit me, as I am going the ECU/TCU flash route, but great for those that come after!

The JB4 is a tuning tool that remains quite useful even if flash tuned!

Thanks again to briansoong for coming by with his A45. After poking around awhile we determined it's just not practical for us to make a JB4 for it. While the MAP sensor is very easy to reach, the TMAP sensor is deep under the engine and virtually impossible to reach, even with the car on a lift. You'd have to take apart half the engine bay to access it.

On the plus side we were able to test our BOV plate which is working quite well.

And while it was here we did a few baseline dyno runs for posterity.

I knew that a45s's T map sensor is very hard to reach to handle it, but

If you develop JB4 , I will connect it to disassemle member for T map sensor.

So just release it and I need just No. 6 map. The others are not required.

Please consider it more

Many people need JB4 for M139 engine and this should be a monster.

It's just not practical to develop a product when no volume of customers can install it.
