Default Can I change rotors with wheel studs installed? - 01-27-2018, 10:15 AM

Hi everyone,

I just finished installing a wheel studs conversion kit, as I was sick of fighting to align the wheel perfectly and get a bolt in. Wheel spacers made this task very difficult.

Anyway, now I'm wondering if I'll be able to get the rotor off with these studs installed. It's very difficult to tell if the stud is seated into the rotor hat or just the hub beyond.

Anyone know?

There is a tool which makes it a little easier.

See bms-wheel-pin-tool

I would think its some-what critical to have the stud inserted to the correct depth.

If I was doing it and wanted to measure it I'd get my vernier caliper out and measure the length installed using the depth gauge.
