Sheesh so my bolt ons would only net me only 10-15 hp vs a stock car running JB4

Thats peak. Some rpms will be higher, some will be lower. BMW didn't leave much on the table with the N63B. The intake and exhaust tracts are pretty free flowing.

Gotcha, so to truly see major power improvements would be pure turbos and more fuel options? All I ever seen was getting *** less ********* would net so much HP from the restrictive OEM ones. Maybe that was from a flashed car or combo of both with a jb4 integration. As always thanks for the good replies.

Intakes donít help much but a ******* down pipe did. It dropped my 0-60 down .2. And that was consistent through multiple runs.

My current theory is gearbox torque limiters. Xhp support for the current 8speed ZF boxes is due in the next couple of months. My plan is to settle that asap

Testing is with no JB4 as I had to take that off for a visit. But the car feels so much easier to control, and the power on stock felt beefy compared to the previous software. Dare I say it felt like a different car??? Anyhow, this is just my first impression after driving it a few hundred miles on no tune and just a software upgrade.

Fast forward to today, 19 Jul 21. I drove the car a good bit before work on the way to grab some coffee as I wanted to test the car's balance with a new rear sway bar. I want to say this investment is well worth it. It took 1 hour to install, using a lift and making sure my 4-year-old didn't run into the street.

Altogether, it was four bolts and two nuts. The bar itself was tricky to remove once unbolted. The driver-side control arm needed raised an inch to slide the bar out.

I hope this is informative.

Zach
I went for the OEM F90 bars front and rear in the end. I had them fitted with front camber arms and a geo setup. The shop said they went right on with the M5's brackets and a combo of the drop links from both cars.

Have you tried turning traction control completely off and not use launch control?

Yes. That approach is only avoiding the problem because you are not building any boost or using the aggressive shift pattern.

This is wonderful news. Do you have aftermarket springs for a 3/4 inch drop? Maybe this will be my next project. How much did the parts cost you?

Another topic, I'm running 102 octane, axel back exhaust, Ca**d Pipes, and JB4 map 2. Today I went from map 1 to 2 and holys...t. i think I need draggy! Don't you run a similar setup? How do your logs look between map1 and 2, with and without pipes? I think Mike' hates map 2 but he doesn't run pipes or 102 octane.

Thoughts??

I genuinely do need the ground clearance and compliance of the M550i suspension, shorter higher rate springs are a no go. With continental sportcontact 7 tyres and lighter forged wheels in place of run flats and the cast iron 668s, the ride is so so good.

Regarding map 2. It never ran right for me. It asks for +6lbs everywhere and even with 101ron (94+2 points of boostaine ) the boost came at the expense of timing and the car was slower. I have the stock primary cats still in, everything else in the OEM exhaust is out of the way.

Map 2 isn't ready not even for 102 octane we need a flash tune. Truth be told the piggy backs are not ready for this car when we want to produce real power.

On the required connectors yes we have them, email me your address and we can send a pair out. Payam is going to make a video on how to attach them to the JB4 harness.
Terry, does this log look a little sketchy? (26lbs was not intended and has not been ran since) Trying to determine safe max boost targets for this platform on an M50i. Currently running a map 6 with 7.5 additive from 4,5 to 5,5K, tapering down to 6 by 6k.

What is your objective? Max boost doesn't equal max performance.

I get **** timing above 6lbs on e25-e30 I canít imagine what 7psi extra would look like, car probably is just as fast as stock unless youíre on meth or race fuel
