Car has mst v2 intake and catted ******** running 93 octane. 103F Texas heat.

Feels good and strong, just want to make sure I'm ok to bang on the car in this nice weather we're having.

you are using the v22?
i think you need to lower your boost safety, looks like your boost is too high

I'm using the firmware that came wirh the jb4. It shipped last week. What should I lower the boost safety to? 21.5?

im using the v22 and i set the boost safety to 22
in your log it looks that you have high boost peaks
try lower it and post a log

I havent had a chance to log a proper log, but I did upgrade to v22. I was able to log the trip to work and now boost safety reads 31 up from 26 on v17??? Is there a way for me to change that value in map2?

yes
when you connected to the car
go to settings , advanced and user adjustment settings
and set the boost safety to 22

Another little log... What is the difference between boost and boost2?

Boost looks like it's spiking, boost 2 seems to be closer to target. Is the throttle closing to keep boost2 closer to the map?

I read on the Kia stinger forums that the boost2 parameter is a better judge of intake manifold pressure but the thread also said that the descriptions of log parameters were for stinger only.

Haven't found b58/b48 log parameters anywhere

This is a more thorough log. Still seeing boost above target, boost2 is very close to target.

The log shows map 2 on column X. Boost safety is 22.

I switched it over to map 1 this morning. Hopefully that's a bit safer. Any ideas on the boost spikes? Think it could be the dp or intake? Every thread I've read on here or supramkv claims map 2 is safe?

Any chance we can get Terry or Cannon to chime in? When I had jabroni (me) induced issues with the JB4 on my e90 they were VERY quick to help...

If my boost safety limit is set at 22 how am I hitting 25+? This JB4 had the EWG built in and it is hooked up nice and tight...

map 2 should be safe but in your case with the high boost its safer to stay on map 1.

i really cant say why you get such high boost, maybe try send BMS a mail or private message.
